Releasing on May 17th

Lyrics

I've Changed Too

Laura steps out of her bedroom
And into the early morning light
Fallen leaves under each footstep
Brought down by the rain last night

Adam steps out of the shadows
cast by the naked maple trees
Meandering to the same clearing
As if carried by the autumn breeze

He says, "What do you want from me?"
She says, "I couldn't tell you."
"What good does that do?"
"You know I've been looking back
trying to hold on to
whatever we had, but now
I don't even know you....
And I've changed too"

"Laura, I'm so glad you told me."
he says, "I can adapt, change back, we'll persevere."
She says "That is not what I told you,
It's only what you wanted to hear."

The magic we felt at the start
The spark that ignited our hearts
Only ash and smoke remain
Doused by the rain

He says, "What do you want from me?"
She says, "I couldn't tell you."
"What good does that do?"
"You know I've been looking back
trying to hold on to
whatever we had, but now
I don't even know you....
And I've changed too"
